New Forest Camping and Caravanning
For camping in the New Forest, there are plenty of
campsites to choose from:
Please click here to see the campsites which are listed on our New Forest Online Database
Privately-run
New Forest Campsites - The largest privately run campsites offer
excellent facilities and a holiday park atmosphere. List
of New Forest Campsites.
Forestry
Commission run New Forest Campsites - These sites offer excellent
locations within the heart of the forest, but the level of facilities
is often lower than the larger privately-owned campsites. For instance,
some of the Forestry Commission's campsites do not have toilet facilities
and are for caravans and motorhomes only. See www.forestholidays.co.uk for more details or phone the national booking line on 0845 130
8224 .
Note that it is illegal to camp on the open forest and you
must camp at a designated campsite. Similarly, you may only
have a barbecue at a designated barbecue site. If you are planning
a barbecue in the New Forest, then barbecue food can be bought
from Sway Butchers, which
is convenient for many of the New Forest campsites.
