    Hawk Watch at Acres Down - Lyndhurst
    In early spring Sparrowhawks and Goshawks display high above the woodlands on sunny, calm days. Acres Down has long been known as a great spot to see them as there is a good view over the surrounding woods. Sparrowhawks are often here and Goshawks are frequently seen, though views can be distant.     Finding Shrikes on the New Forest - Brockenhurst
    Each winter Great Grey Shrikes winter on the New Forest. There are usually three of them and they are in widely separated areas. Great Grey Shrikes are notoriously difficult to see. They have a large feeding area which they cover each day and so it is often difficult to locate them.
